SOCIAL IMPACT DATA REPORT
ALab Amsterdam is more than workplace, it is a vibrant community of social entrepreneurs, environmental startups and creative people (among others). As a member of this community I was asked to design the annual report, not of all the financial results, but of the social impact that ALab has. Together with ALab I gathered, analysed and filtered information and imagined a year report as a large poster that would reflect the diversity of the community and be a welcome addition to community members walls as well as an invitation for others to come take a look.

DESIGN SYSTEM
To provide a different angle than the usual line- and bar charts, I set out to visualize the data as treemaps throughout the report. This way the members of the community could be shown as one block that could be divided according to the different areas people worked in. The same design logic was applied to the events and the events calendar. Coupled with a lot of interviews, pictures, fun facts and elements, I think the report was both nice looking and informative.
